STEM CELLS

Stem cell treatments and therapies

Cell therapies, especially those using mesenchymal stromal/stem cells (MSCs), represent a modern approach to the treatment of a wide range of diseases. Instead of traditional methods that focus on relieving symptoms and slowing down the progression of disease, MSCs promote healing by activating the natural repair processes of damaged tissues. Multipotent MSCs can restore the disturbed balance in inflamed, damaged or otherwise affected tissues in a variety of ways. Initially, research into the therapeutic use of MSCs was based primarily on their ability to differentiate into different cell types, but the subsequent discovery of their immunomodulatory and trophic properties has opened up additional avenues for the treatment of various immune-related diseases.

THIS IS NOT A PRP TREATMENT

It is important to remember that PRP treatment is not the same as our therapy. PRP treatment uses only 1 to 3 stem cells, while our therapy uses a dosed amount of 15 to 20 million stem cells.

THERAPEUTIC AREAS

Orthopaedics

Joint problems, cartilage wear and tear, and movement pain can have a big impact on your daily life. In recent years, modern approaches in regenerative medicine have been developed that can support the body’s natural processes in certain cases. These include mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapies , which are used for various orthopaedic problems. These cells can come from your own body (autologous) or be obtained from carefully selected donors (allogeneic).

Inflammatory rheumatic diseases

Despite major therapeutic advances in the treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases, some patients still face challenges because existing treatments do not deliver the desired results. Clinical trials are currently underway around the world investigating the potential of mesenchymal stem/stromal cell (MSC) therapy.

Early results from these studies suggest that MSC therapies are safe. Improvements in laboratory and clinical results have also been observed in patients who responded positively to treatment. If you are exploring new options, you can consult our experts.

Pulmonology

Acute inflammatory and chronic lung diseases can have a serious impact on health and in some cases can be life-threatening. Clinical studies are underway around the world to investigate how mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) could help treat them.

Already during the COVID-19 pandemic, MSCs proved to be a promising option for patients with severe respiratory distress (ARDS) who needed mechanical ventilation. Research in this field continues to find new ways to support the lungs and reduce inflammation. For more information on modern treatment options, please contact us.

Chronic wounds

Chronic wounds are a challenge in healthcare, as the number of patients is increasing and effective solutions for their treatment are constantly being sought. Healing these wounds can be time-consuming and challenging, and researchers are looking for new approaches that can improve treatment.

Mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) are the focus of research for their ability to stimulate cellular responses and create a more favourable environment for wound healing. Their unique property is the release of molecules that can support tissue repair and help regulate inflammation, which could open up new possibilities for chronic wound management.

Chronic wounds thus remain a major health challenge, but treatment options are evolving. Research suggests that MSCs could play an important role in tissue regeneration and improving healing conditions by directly affecting the inflammatory process and stimulating cell function in the affected area.

Gastroenterology

Chronic inflammatory bowel diseases can have a major impact on daily life, and standard treatments are not always equally effective in all patients. Research is looking at how mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) could help manage these diseases, as they have the ability to regulate the immune system (immunomodulatory effect) and promote tissue repair (regenerative effect).

Studies have shown promising results, with some patients showing improvement in clinical and laboratory findings. If you are suffering from chronic problems and are interested in new treatment options, you can find out more from our experts.

Dermatology

Skin diseases can arise from immune disorders, external factors or genetic conditions, and often have a profound effect on everyday life. If conventional treatments do not bring the desired results, other options are being explored.

One of them is mesenchymal stem/stromal cell (MSC) therapy, which brings new approaches to skin support. These cells have the ability to repair tissue (regenerative effect), regulate the immune system (immunomodulatory effect) and adapt to the body’s needs to support natural processes (differentiation effect). This approach opens up new possibilities for patients seeking additional therapeutic solutions.

Longetivity

A growing number of approaches to longevity include regenerative methods based on the use of mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) to support natural renewal processes and slow down ageing. These cells have the ability to promote tissue regeneration, improve cell function and regulate inflammatory processes in the body.

MSCs are obtained in a simple and safe way by mini-liposuction under local anaesthesia, allowing immediate use without the need for laboratory multiplication. Due to their regenerative properties, these cells are being explored as a promising support in maintaining skin elasticity, muscle mass, joint mobility and overall vitality.

The use of the body s own mesenchymal stem cells in longevity strategies opens up new possibilities for the body’s natural regeneration, with the aim of improving quality of life and slowing down the degenerative processes that accompany ageing.

Aesthetic interventions

More and more aesthetic procedures include regenerative approaches that focus on tissue repair and rejuvenation using the body’s own cells. These approaches use cells such as mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs), which have the ability to stimulate the body’s natural regenerative processes. These cells are obtained in a simple way by mini-liposuction under local anaesthesia, which allows the rapid and efficient acquisition of the patient’s own material for aesthetic treatments.

One of the advantages of this approach is that the cells are ready to use immediately and do not need to be further multiplied in the laboratory. Due to their regenerative properties, mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) are being investigated as a possible support for various aesthetic treatments.

1. What are stem cells and how do they work?

Stem cells are special cells in the body that have the ability to repair and regenerate tissues. In medicine, they are used to treat various degenerative diseases, injuries and chronic conditions as they help regenerate the affected tissues.

Therapy is usually provided on an outpatient basis. Stem cells are administered via injection or infusion, depending on the type of treatment. The whole procedure takes a few hours and the recovery is fast, as it does not require long hospitalisation.

Yes, the therapy is safe because we use carefully tested and certified stem cells. The procedure is minimally invasive and supervised by experts. Prior to treatment, a consultation is carried out to assess the suitability of the therapy for the individual.

The results depend on the individual and the type of treatment. Some patients see improvement within a few weeks, while others make more gradual progress. The whole regeneration process can take several months.

The price of the treatment depends on the type and extent of the treatment. If you are looking for a tailor-made solution, please contact us and together we will find the best option for you.

Treatment of joint pain with mesenchymal stromal stem cells

“I have suffered from chronic joint pain, especially in my knees, for several years. Traditional treatments such as physical therapy, painkillers and even corticosteroid injections have only provided temporary relief. Desperate for a more permanent solution, I started researching alternative treatments and came across mesenchymal stem/stromal cell (MSC) therapy. After consulting my doctor and doing extensive research, I decided to give it a try.

The treatment process was simple and professionally managed. The first consultation included a thorough assessment of my condition and detailed information on how MSC therapy works. The procedure itself was minimally invasive and surprisingly quick.

What surprised me most was the gradual but noticeable improvement in my condition. Within a few weeks I felt significant pain relief and increased mobility. Tasks that had become difficult or impossible, such as walking up stairs, lifting objects and even walking for long periods of time, became much easier. The stiffness and constant pain that had plagued me for years were greatly reduced. Three months after treatment, I can say with certainty that the improvement has been remarkable. The quality of my life has improved significantly.

I highly recommend MSC therapy to anyone who suffers from chronic joint pain. It has been a game changer for me, providing long term relief where other treatments have failed. The professionalism and care of the medical team (Crystal?) combined with the innovation of the treatment made for an exceptional experience. If you are considering this option, I would recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare professional to determine whether MSC therapy could be the solution you have been looking for.

Milena

Stem cell therapy for arthrosis of the fingers of the hand

“My name is Milena and I am happy to share my experience of stem cell therapy for Heberden’s and Bouchard’s osteoarthritis of the toes. For years I have been struggling with unbearable pain and swelling in most of my fingers, but especially in three of them, which has affected my daily life.
After extensive research and consultations, I was advised by rheumatologists that medicine has no cure for small joint diseases and that I can only relieve them with painkillers. So I decided to try stem cell therapy. In the procedure, stem cells were injected into each joint of the fingers of both hands. The procedure went smoothly and professionally, but also with not too much pain.

The results were great. I noticed a significant reduction in swelling and pain in a short time. Gradually, the mobility of my fingers improved to some extent, but most importantly, I no longer woke up at night in pain, I no longer had to take painkillers and I was able to do everyday tasks again, including gardening.
Stem cell therapy has made my life easier and, above all, it has eliminated the need to take painkillers, which in the long run also have side effects. I am immensely grateful for the advances in medical science that have made this possible and for the skilled professionals who have guided the treatment. If you suffer from osteoarthritis, I recommend that you opt for stem cell therapy.”

Katarina

Stem cell therapy for knee arthritis
“I was struggling with knee problems. My GP referred me for a check-up and I was diagnosed with arthritis, which required treatment. The only solution was surgery, but I had to wait several months for the procedure. During this time, I would have to take strong painkillers on a daily basis. I did not want to have surgery myself, as I had already had two hip operations, which took a very long time to recover from, and I did not like that, as I am a person who enjoys an active life.
When I started researching alternatives, I first heard about prp therapy, but I quickly learned that it would probably not work in my case. I continued my search and came across GaiaCell, where they produce advanced mesenchymal stem cell therapies, which are then used in treatment by specialists at Crystal MC. I decided to have a consultation at Crystal Medical Centre, where I was warmly welcomed by an orthopaedic surgeon and given a thorough examination. They assessed that MSCs could be a viable solution to my problems, suggested a treatment plan and the amount of cells I needed. I was advised to take my time to think things over, as the cost of the therapy as a pensioner did not seem small to me at first. After thinking it over, I decided to give it a try, thinking that if the stem cells didn’t help, I could always go ahead with the surgery.
I called them and they quickly confirmed the appointment. GaiaCell and Crystal Medical Centre are very responsive, flexible and fast – exactly what patients want. The orthopaedic surgeon explained everything in detail before the procedure, which gave me a lot of confidence. The procedure itself was calm and I didn’t feel too scared. After the procedure, I was warned that there might be mild swelling and that I needed to rest, and I did so. Even though I was no longer in pain and would have liked to go for a long walk, I made sure to listen to the advice of the experts.
It has now been two months and I no longer have any pain in my knee. If I could go back, I would do it again. I would advise anyone who has similar problems to consult Crystal – they will honestly explain all the options you have, assess your condition and suggest the amount of stem cells. For any concerns, they explain everything to you in detail and assess realistic therapy options. It is true that the therapy is self-pay, but the staff explained to me why the price is that way and that they try to keep the price as low as possible to make the therapies available to a wider range of people. Now that I look back, the price is really not that high compared to avoiding surgery, as I already felt a lot of relief after the therapy.
Thank you, GaiaCell and Crystal, for your professional approach and great experience.
