Cardiology

The vision for the development of cardiology at Crystal Medical Centre is to diagnose and treat heart disease, with an emphasis on the treatment of patients with rhythm disorders.
The needs in this area are great in the Republic of Slovenia, as waiting times for outpatient examinations of patients with rhythm disorders are excessive, as are invasive procedures – catheter ablations – for the treatment of tachycardia rhythm disorders, of which atrial fibrillation is by far the most common.  

As part of the above, we currently offer non-invasive diagnostics and tests such as 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG), Holter ECG and transthoracic ultrasound of the heart on an outpatient basis.
In the future, we would like to complement our activities with inpatient therapeutic work, i.e. catheter ablations for the treatment of tachycardias.
